The HALI Project |

When we started The HALI Project, we simply had in mind a desire to provide services that would improve the quality of life for families like ours—families who have children with special needs, With that in mind, we have six main programs: |
Programs We Offer |

A take-off of our original program, “Empowered Parents,” this program places the same emphasis on personal awareness, knowledge, and skills, but takes those things a step further. We want our families to use these skills as advocates in opening the doors of our communities to individuals with special needs. |
Community Voices |
In cooperation with the Southwest Church of Christ, we provide a day camp experience for children with special needs that is also available for their siblings. During this time, parents are free to have a day for themselves, which we know can be much needed. |
Special Kids, Special Times |
At the Southwest Church of Christ, we offer a Bible class program designed to meet the spiritual needs of students with special needs. The class meets on Wednesday nights at the Southwest Church of Christ building located at 45th and Cornell in Amarillo, Tx. |
Zaccheus’ Place |
A college program for students with developmental delays. This program is a collaborative effort between The HALI Project and the Continuing Education Department at West Texas A&M University. |

Where The Learning Continues (WTLC) |

Statistics are on the rise against families who have children with special needs. During this marriage retreat weekend, we will work together to identify the things that stress our marriages the most, and learn to work through them together. |
Marriage Retreat |
This special training weekend focuses on the idea of a Community Home. What if our kids, families, and service providers had somewhere to go to discuss together the daily lives and demands of children with special needs. Here, we explore this possibility. |
